Ángel Armenta es editor de la revista literaria Burdel de letras, prepara un libro con textos que han sido publicados en revistas y compilaciones, “sus favoritos” según manifiesta. Su texto saldrá a inicios  del próximo año.  Su vida parece una contradicción, reflejada en sus textos, quizá sea por eso que por la muerte inició sus versos, -pero en la muerte no quiere pensar por ahora- mientras la madre de su amiga agonizaba; él, a sus 18 años comenzaba su primer poema. “No fui yo quien eligió a la poesía, ella me eligió a mí”, manifiesta, mientras la plaza de Coyoacán se empalma entre las familias que deambulan en un paseo dominical y el sol que comienza a salir.  

Vive el aquí y el ahora, amante del eterno presente, (aunque de pronto el pasado lo atrapa y tiene que escribirle a la ausencia).  Explota cada vivencia, cada emoción, cada abertura que el mundo muestra, “cuando esté cerrado, el poeta tiene que abrirlo”, ¿Uno de sus secretos? La sensibilidad, mucha sensibilidad, pues quien la pierde: “está muerto”…

“Soy muy agresivo, tanto en lo lingüístico como en la estructura” aduce mientras acaricia a su perro. Con optimismo señala: “el arte siempre debe ir un paso delante de la deshumanización.” Ángel Armenta piensa y repiensa. Sus tranquilas palabras agitan las horas, su mirada se pierde antes de proferir otra respuesta.

Su  poesía es sencilla ya que no le interesa lucirse mediante palabras doctas. Vivencial. Creativo. No le gusta caer en extremos. Tiene claro que la poesía es un oficio poco retribuido y nimiamente valorado –tanto por seguidores como por escritores-, y en donde “se tiene que trabajar veinticuatro horas por la mañana y veinticuatro por la noche” (así lo dice Orlando Guillen). Piensa que pocos son los que escriben realmente, sin afán de gloria, “con la mano metida en el corazón” y tratando de aportar algo nuevo a las letras.

 

 

Su mayor miedo es desconocerse, dejar de ser él para servir a alguien más. ¿Su mayor pasión? Alza la voz y dice que “la vida, cuando vives lo tienes todo”. Al pensar sobre su posición más atesorada, duda un poco, duda mucho, finalmente aduce: “Un libro de Mario Santiago, estaba en los 1500 que se publicaron,  no conozco a nadie que lo tenga, se llama aullido de cisne, no lo heredaré, irá a la muerte con él.” Ríe y vuelve su mirada hacia el suelo.

 

“Sólo sé que soy apasionado e impulsivo… Me cuesta trabajo hablar de mí,  sobre todo por las sesiones con  psicoanalistas.”

 

Poesía en la condición humana

Filosofía y psicoanálisis dentro su obra, lee de todo para ampliar su horizonte. Cree que la poesía no sólo está en los libros, recomienda ir al cine, a conciertos, al teatro, a las cantinas, “el poeta no solo se nutre de la biblioteca.”  Armenta expresa que no se puede hablar de naturaleza humana, si o de condición humana. Al cuestionarle por qué, responde que existen estructuras políticas, sociales, culturales que moldean al individuo, “por eso no podemos decir que nuestras reacciones son inherentes a un gen.”

Apuesta más por el arte que por la ciencia, ya que: “tenemos que rescatar nuestra condición humana y la expresión humana sólo se muestra en el arte, a través de éste podemos romper cadenas que han sido inquebrantables. El arte puede sacar a flote a la sociedad porque la desnuda, la hace verse al espejo.”

J: ¿Y la ciencia entonces para qué sirve?

Sin titubeos y con el tono de voz que lo distingue, -pausado, muy pausado-, precisa que para tener una disciplina, “la ciencia en la escritura es la métrica.”El oriundo de Santo Domingo, Distritito Federal, indica que el ser humano debe adquirir consciencia del entorno que lo rodea, “saber qué es lo que sucede a su alrededor”.
Poesía y la liberación humana.

“Arte y política van conjugados”. Mientras alza su mano derecha prosigue “la política es la primera cadena que se tiene que romper para que el ser humano sea libre. No es obligatoria la política en el arte, pero hay que acercarse a ella.”

Prosigue: “hoy estamos desinformados, mediatizados por la tv. Tenemos distractores, nuestra generación está cansada, cree que ya no puede haber cambios, que los cambios están hechos. Creen que todo está perdido y que estamos condenados, ese es el mensaje que nos da la noticias, prodigan que no te manifiestes,  no escribas, ya que nada va cambiar.”

— ¿Entonces, abordas en tu literatura temas políticos?

“Muy poco, aunque debo reconocer que simpatizo mucho con el pensamiento anarquista, pero no ha sido piedra angular de mi creación.  Si bien mi poesía no está tan politizada, entre líneas dejo claro cuál es mi brújula, encaminada, desde luego, a la liberación humana.”

La nueva literatura.

 “Desde Volpi no tenemos un referente en la literatura. Parece que a los jóvenes se nos olvida la creatividad, al escribir se ve poco compromiso a dedicar tu vida a esto. Por muy trillado que suene, la literatura es una forma de vida. Hoy hay mucha indiferencia a correr riegos; se soslaya la historia y la política”. Según aprecia, en los jóvenes existe una fuerte tristeza, “no sólo tristeza pasajera, sino depresión, desubicación.”  Profiere que existe una fijación por la ausencia.

Denuncia, además,  que los premios se otorgan a conocidos de los jueces, que los escritores piensan más en la fama que en sus lectores y en la beuna literatura. “Si seguimos así la poesía será sólo un disfraz. Tenemos que poner más atención a los escritores subterráneos. Tener esta lucha tácita, y con fe.”
