Mine Vaganti: il film gay di Ferzan Ozpetek/ Peligros ambulantes: la película gay de Ferzan Ozpetek

vaganti(Italia) Dopo più di 10 anni dal suo esordio come regista in Italia con Bagno Turco – Hamam (1997), il turco Ferzan Ozpetek, in Italia dagli anni ’70, affronta nuovamente il tema della omosessualità ai nostri giorni con un cast tutto particolare: il giovane Riccardo Scamarcio che per la prima volta interpreta il ruolo del gay, Alessandro Preziosi (più conosciuto in televisione e in teatro che al cinema), la giovanissima siciliana Nicole Grimaudo, per la seconda volta sul set di Ozpetek, dopo Il giorno perfetto (2008).

Un film dalla bellissima fotografia, ambientato in un paesino della Puglia, nel Salento, vicino a Lecce, il punto estremo del tacco dello stivale, che racconta la vita e i valori di una famiglia benestante nel 2010, proprietaria da generazioni di un pastificio i cui prodotti sono esportati in tutto il mondo.

Tommaso, il protagonista (Scamarcio) torna a casa da Roma, dove vive ormai da anni, per svelare alla famiglia tre suoi importantissimi segreti: non ha mai studiato economia e commercio come credono in famiglia e si è, invece, da poco laureato in lettere; vuole diventare uno scrittore e non condurre l’impresa familiare. La terza “sconvolgente” rivelazione è la sua omosessualità. Ma un’imprevedibile sorpresa gli impedirà di raccontare tutto, almeno per il momento, alla famiglia molto tradizionale e chiusa, che non riesce ancora nemmeno a pronunciare e ad accettare il ternime omosessualità, perché rappresenta una macchia, un disonore per il nucleo familiare. Il fratello maggiore di Tommaso, Antonio (Preziosi), che fino ad allora era stato l’impeccabile successore del padre alla guida del pastificio, svela, anticipando Tommaso, di essere gay, di esserlo da anni e di essersi sempre represso per non ferire la famiglia, ma ora non può più continuare così. Come previsto, il padre conservatore lo caccia da casa e subito dopo è vittima di un attacco di cuore.

Tommaso deve quindi tacere e diventare il numero uno della famiglia, colui in cui il padre ripone tutte le speranze per il futuro della famiglia e dell’azienda. Conoscerà anche una ragazza, Alba (Nicole Grimaudo) la sua socia in affari, di cui sembra innamorarsi, ma resterà sempre diviso tra lei e il suo amore Marco che, da Roma insieme ad altri amici, lo va a trovare, a sorpresa, a Lecce. Esilaranti le scene in cui i cinque ragazzotti, muscolosissimi e curatissimi fisicamente, devono fingere davanti alla famiglia di Tommaso di essere dei super-macho. Ce la faranno con scarsi risultati.

Tommaso non confesserà mai alla famiglia di essere gay, anche se alcuni membri lo capiranno, ma troverà la forza di dire che non vuole continuare a guidare l’azienda familiare e di volersi dedicare solo alla scrittura.

Sullo sfondo la storia della nonna paterna, la vera “mina vagante” del film, che ha sacrificato il grande amore (il fratello del marito) per il bene della famiglia, ma che farà di tutto per insegnare ai nipoti ad essere se stessi e a seguire le proprie ambizioni: “Non farti mai dire dagli altri chi devi amare, e chi devi odiare. Sbaglia per conto tuo, sempre…”. Sia Antonio che Tommaso sembrano aver recepito il messaggio e allora lei può sparire dalla circolazione in silenzio, divorando con soddisfazione migliaia di pasticcini che diventano fatali a una persona diabetica come lei.

Dietro il sorriso che ci procurano certe scene e certe battute, ci rendiamo conto che nel 2010 nel sud d’Italia e non solo, l’omosessualità è ancora un tabù, una cosa di cui non si deve nemmeno parlare, è considerata una grave malattia da cui non si può guarire. E persiste ancora lo stereotipo dell’omosessuale che si veste da donna, che ha atteggiamenti effeminati, ecc. Volutamente i cinque amici di Tommaso esasperano questi aspetti indossando abiti attillatissimi e improvvisando balletti molto poco sexy per degli uomini.

Dunque una perfetta commedia all’italiana, con una fortissima presenza di diversi dialetti italiani del sud, su un tema molto attuale e discusso.

(Italia) Después de más de 10 años de su debut como director en Italia con Bagno Turco – Hamam (1997), el turco Ferzan Ozpetek, que vive en  Italia desde los setentas, discute de nuevo el tema de la homosexualidad en nuestros días, con un elenco muy especial: el joven Riccardo Scamarcio, quien por primera vez interpreta el rol del gay; Alessandro Preziosi, más conocido en la televisión y en teatro que en el cine; la jovencísima siciliana Nicole Grimaudo, por segunda vez en el set de Ozpetek, después de Il giorno perfetto (2008).

En el filme la fotografía es bellisíma. Nos encontramos en un pueblito de la Puglia, en la región del Salento, cerca de Lecce, el punto extremo del tacón de la bota italiana, y Ozpetek nos cuenta la vida y los valores de una familia acomodada en el 2010, dueña de una fábrica de pasta por muchas generaciones que exporta sus productos en todo el mundo.

Tommaso, el protagonista (Scamarcio), regresa a su casa de Roma donde vive ya desde hace unos años, para revelar a la familia sus tres importantísimos secretos: nunca ha estudiado economía en la universidad como creen sus padres, sino que acaba de titularse en letras; quiere ser escritor y no encargarse de la fábrica familiar. La tercera “tremenda” revelación es su homosexualidad. Pero una impredecible sorpresa le impedirá contarle todo, por el momento, a su familia muy tradicional y cerrada, que todavía no logra pronunciar y aceptar la palabra “homosexualidad”, porque representa una mancha, una deshonra. El hermano mayor de Tommaso, Antonio (Preziosi), que hasta entonces había sido el impecable sucesor del padre en la empresa familiar, revela durante una cena, anticipando a Tommaso, que es gay desde hace años y que tuvo que reprimirse para no herir a su familia, pero que ya no puede seguir así. Como era de esperarse, el padre conservador lo corre de su casa e inmediatamente después es víctima de un infarto.

Entonces Tommaso tiene que callar y tratar de reemplazar a su hermano para asegurar el futuro de la familia y de la empresa. Conocerá a una chica, Alba (Nicole Grimaudo), su socia, y parece enamorarse de ella, pero siempre quedará dividido entre ella y su amor por Marco quien, desde Roma, junto a cuatro amigos, va a visitar a Tommaso, sin avisarle, en Lecce. Son muy divertidas las escenas en las cuales los cinco chicos, musculosísimos y muy cuidados físicamente, tienen que fingir ser super–machos frente a la familia de Tommaso. No lo lograrán muy bien.

Tommaso nunca confesará a la familia que es gay, a pesar de que lo entendarán solos, pero logrará decir que no quiere seguir en la empresa, porque quiere dedicarse a escribir.

Atrás de las vidas de Tommaso y Antonio se entreve la historia de la abuela paterna, el verdadero “peligro ambulante” de la película, quien ha sacrificado el amor sincero (el hermano de su esposo) para complacer a la familia, pero que hará todo lo posible para enseñar a sus nietos a ser ellos mismos y a seguir sus propias ambiciones: “Que nunca te digan los demás a quién tienes que amar y a quién odiar. Equivócate por tu cuenta, siempre…”. Tanto Antonio como Tommaso aprenden el mensaje y entonces ella puede desaparecer en silencio, devorando con gran satisfacción muchísimos dulces que se vuelven fatales para una persona diabética como ella.

Detrás de la sonrisa que nos traen unas escenas de la película, nos damos cuenta de que en el 2010 en el sur de Italia, la homosexualidad sigue siendo un tabú, una cosa de la cual no se puede hablar, porque es considerada una grave enfermedad de la que uno no se puede recuperar. Y aún persiste el estereotipo del homosexual que se viste de mujer, que actúa como tal. De propósito los cinco amigos de Tommaso exageran este aspecto poníendose ropa muy pegada e improvisando bailes muy poco sexy para ser hombres.

En conclusión nos encontramos frente a una perfecta comedia a la italiana, con una fuertísima presencia de diferentes dialectos italianos del sur, sobre un tema muy actual y todavía controvertido.
